Since the joint meeting of the four Special Councils held on Oct. 2, 2008, the special councils for each bureau under the umbrella of the PCRD Executive Office have met annually four times on average.

In addition, the three Task Force Councils have met annually three times on average in order to conduct pre-reviews of items to be submitted to the PCRD plenary session and collect regional opinions.

A number of standing advisory committee meetings and expert forums took place for different issues and fields including the regular Wednesday Forum, the Local Areas Forum, the Nationwide Urban Policy Forum, the Colloquium for Economic Regions Development (concluded), the Task Force for Restructuring of the Local Government Finance Support System (concluded), and the Task Force for Establishing Strategies for Successful Economic Regions (concluded).
